In 1894 and 1895 Hotel Roxy was established. Travelers came to Cape Vincent, NY, by train, horse and buggy, automobile, and boat. Hotel Roxy rented rooms, served meals and offered fishing guide services.
With a Grand Reopening planned for the spring of 2011, the Roxy Hotel is being restored to the way it was, eliminating any deterioration that transpired over the past 117 years. In breathing new life into the old hotel, the new owner has maintained the 19th century nature of this registered historic brick structure but installed all the modern conveniences inside that will make 21st century guests feel comfortable and secure.
